Weekly Announcement 8/30-9/5/2009

Sunday 8/30:

4-6pm – Welcome Picnic at Mason Park, shelter #1 (reserved under the Music Dept. University High.) Parking is $5 per vehicle.  You can bring in the required form and fees to the boosters at this time.

Monday to Friday Summer Camp Daily

Remember to bring a big water jug, a hat, sunscreen, lunch, your music, instrument, & a pencil.

The boosters will be collecting the required form and fees Monday before 8am outside the band room. All checks are payable to UHS BAND AIDES.

Uniform Fitting Parent Volunteers are needed – Please sign up at www.mysignup.com/uhsbanduniform

Monday 8/31:

·         8am-5pm – Summer Band Camp

·         10:50 – 11:20am - High school Registration for 10-12^th graders, bring your SIGNED registration final page with you.

·         12-5 pm - Uniform fitting inside theater for all senior and half of the juniors. We will call your names to come in, please bring a clean shirt and short to try on the uniform.

Tuesday 9/1:

·         8am-5pm – Summer Band Camp

·         12-5 pm - Uniform fitting inside theater for the rest of juniors and all sophomores. We will call your names to come in. please bring a clean shirt and short to try on the uniform.

Wednesday 9/2:

·         7:30am – All sophomores has vision and hearing test, please report to the band camp immediately afterward.

·         8am-5pm – Summer Band Camp

·         BEC Pizza Day at noon

·         12-5pm - Uniform fitting inside theater for all freshmen. We will call your names to come in. Please bring a clean shirt and short to try on the uniform.

Thursday 9/3:

·         7am – High School Registration available for freshmen band and colorguard members. Bring your SIGNED registration final page with you. Please report to the band camp after your registration is done.

·         8am-5pm – Summer Band Camp

·         6pm – Performance at the back field for parents

·         6:45pm – Parent meeting starts in the theater. All forms and fees should be cleared by this time.

·         BEC Strickland’s Ice Cream Fundraising after the parent meeting (Strickland is located in the Albertson’s shopping center on Campus drive).

Friday 9/4: (Half day only)

·         8am-12 noon – Summer Band Camp

·         BEC T-shirt deign deadline

·         4pm -10 pm – BEC Beach Party at Corona del Mar. Parent supervisors needed, please sign up at www.mysignup.com/unibeachparty

Next Week:

Monday 9/7 Labor day – NO PRACTICE

Tuesday 9/8 - Band Camp 8am-5pm

Wednesday 9/9 - Band Camp 8am-5pm

Thursday 9/10 –School starts, away game at Irvine Stadium, call time 5pm.

Friday 9/11 – After school practice 3-4:30pm

Saturday 9/12 – Band Camp 8am-5pm
