Hello Band Families:
Band Camp schedule for the week: Monday & Tuesday: 1 pm to 4:30 pm
Wednesday: off
Thursday & Friday: 7th period, after school until 4:30 pm
Upcoming schedule notes: Monday, September 6th: Labor day holiday, no practice Saturday, September 11th: last day of band camp, 8 am to 5 pm
Other important notes: Uniforms: If you have yet to return your band uniform due to alterations, please bring it to the choir room before the start of band camp on Monday or Tuesday. Forms & payments: If you have any outstanding forms or payments to turn in, please do so by the end of band camp. Field trip waiver forms & any dinkle marching shoe or glove payments, if owed, are due ASAP. f we do not have a field trip waiver form on file, you will not be allowed to board the bus to our first football game. Stonefire Grill fundraiser on Tuesday, August 31st, from 4:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Join us at the restaurant or order take out and help support the marching band. Email uhsmusic AT gmail.com to get a flyer that will send 15% of your dinner bill to the band. Band Polo shirts: Students - If any returning band members would like to order a new shirt, please email uhsmusic AT gmail.com with your shirt size. Replacement shirts are $20. Freshmen and other students new to the band will receive their polo shirts (courtesy of the Band Aides boosters) before the first away game.
Parents - Many parent volunteers wear a Navy blue band polo shirt to games & other events. If any parents would like a polo shirt, please contact Chery; Fields at cheryl.fields1 AT yahoo.com. Shirts are a 50/50 polyester/cotton blend and are available in seizes from S to to XXL.
COMING SOON! Look for news for our volunteer "My Sign-up" page -- soon! Our first home game is Friday, September 10th. We will need parent support to help us in a variety of areas for this game and others, including chaperoning, truck driver, videographer, plume helpers and more. Come help us & be part of the fun! We will send out an email notification once this volunteer sign up is available.

Wednesday, September 8th: Band picture day after school. Don't miss this day. We want you in the picture. The dinkle shoe order will be in. Wear dinkles & black socks & a black t-shirt & thin athletic shorts under your uniform.
Tuesday, September 14th -- Tuxedo fitting day. The gentlemen in our band classes wear a tuxedo to concerts. We will have a vendor at the school to take orders & fit students. More details will follow on this next week.
