BAND CLASSES

If you’re a student who is NOT in marching band, you need to submit a $50 check, made out the UHS Band Aides. We will be placing order once the number of students is settled.

FUNDRAISING

Anyone registered in the band or pageantry classes can participate in these fundraisers.

See’s Candy Bars – The boosters are selling these candy bars at all the home games. There are 4 flavors, Dark Chocolate with almonds, Milk Chocolate with almonds, Milk Chocolate with toffee nuggets, and plain Milk Chocolate. It is sold as $2.00 a bar.

You are welcome to help the Music department by selling them to your friends or neighbors. You can also purchase a box (24 bars) with the base cost, $20.40. The profit will be $27.60 per box and it is yours to keep.  Please prepare exact cash or write the check payable to UHS Band Aides.

UNI Dog Tags – The boosters are selling the dog tags with Trojan’s logo at all the home games, one is $4, and two are $7. Ralph’s Reward Card & Albertson’s Preferred Cards

This is the easiest way to help the band & there is no cost to you.

Please sign up or re-register your Ralph Reward card starting 9/1 at http://www.ralphs.com/myralphs/703/Pages/community_contribution.aspx .  The NPO number for Univeristy High Band is 80719.

MTR

The Summer Band Camp has finished last Saturday 9/12. Thanks to our Alumni, Patrick Chen, who brought in two big cakes to celebrate the success of band camp.

Appreciate all the parents who came & helped at the home game on Friday 9/18. Despite the bus problem again, everything went smoothly. Special thanks to Tom Price (John) for building the two new timpani carts and Don Geller (Matt) for fixing the big moving cart for the pit group.

It was very fun to watch UNI winning the game, also see our band in full motion on the stand. The football game will not be so fun without the marching band in presence. If you have not been any home game, please do pick one to attend. Even if you can not make it earlier, just come at the half time (around 7:45pm) to watch the marching band performance and see how our students play, sing and cheer up the whole school.

It is quite a big production to put out one marching band performance, therefore, we do need more volunteers for all the rest of football games, please sign up at www.mysignup.com/unibandgames

You are welcome to join the plum team or help the Pit students to move the instruments even if all the boxes are filled up on the web page. There is never a case with too many volunteers J

Thursday: 3:15-4:3

Friday 9/25: (No afternoon practice)

Away game at Irvine Stadium against Woodbridge High – Call time and dress code will be announced by Mr. Heddon.  

Monday: 3:00-4:30

Tuesday: 3:00-4:30

Wednesday: 2:15-4:00

Thursday: Home Game again Cypress High. This is the only home game on Thursday for this season. Please plan to do your home works due on Friday in advance.

Friday: 3:00-4:30
